Veuve Clicquot Italia prize 2010

Thanks to her intense activity in the world of contemporary art, contributing to the recognition of the value of women in this field in Italy, Angela Vettese has received the Premio Veuve Clicquot Italia 2010. Angela Vettese, an internationally renowned art critic and President of Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa of Venice, university professor and curator of contemporary art exhibitions, has received this prestigious honor granted each year to women from all over the world who best express, with their work, character and personality, the values of the Maison de Champagne Veuve Clicquot. An international jury composed of experts and opinion leaders like Goskha Makuga, Anna Mattirolo, Carlo Traglio, Martin Hatebur and Chiara Parisi, gathered in a round table discussion moderated by Nicoletta Fiorucci and Milovan Farronato, chose Angela Vettese, especially for her work on the first solo show in an Italian public artspace of the artist Maja Bajevic. The international jury also assigned special honors, further supporting the activity of Angela Vettese, with a grant for a research trip. Other special prizes went to Maja Bajevic and Elisabetta Meneghel, director of the exhibition space of Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa.
