City life
Construction has begun for the CityLife project, the program of revitalization of the zone of the former Milan Fair. CityLife is the company operating to complete this major project designed by Zaha Hadid, Arata Isozaki and Daniel Libeskind. CityLife is a partnership of Generali Properties, Gruppo Allianz, Immobiliare Milano Assicurazioni (Gruppo Fondiaria-SAI) and Lamaro Appalti. The area will be entirely for pedestrians only, with the third largest park in central Milan, accessed by a new subway line, the MM5. CityLife represents a new model of living in the city, where work, residence, services, culture and recreation are combined in a setting that respects the environment, offering security and great architectural quality. The development will include cultural institutions like the Museum of Contemporary Art of Milan and Palazzo delle Scintille, a facility for leisure time and education. www.city-life.it.
