Italian technologies for wood: third quarter results
The negative phase in this sector since the start of the year, after three years of constant growth, was accentuated in the third quarter, due to the spreading world financial crisis whose true impact began to emerge in September. The results of the usual study by Acimall leave little room for doubt: the Italian sector of machinery and tools for the working of wood saw a decline of 18.1% over the same Aug-Sept period in 2007. This figure is the sum of a drop on foreign markets (-13%) and the major contraction of the domestic market (-32.6% with respect to the same period in 2007). www.acimall.com.
