Significant Colour at the Aram Gallery
A collection of works that focus on colour- its meaning, its relationship to objects, interpretation and the way the ten participants individually use colour in their work.
Daniel Charney curated the show with Ptolemy Mann to create a thought provoking collection (photography, textiles, architecture, sculpture, furniture and print) that look at the role of colour in our lives and thoughts.
Significant Colour is free to view on the top floor of the Aram Gallery until 27th of June.

Shai Akram
Shai Akram – INTERNI World Design News – correspondent from London British designer Shai Akram completed her MA in Design Products at the RCA in 2006. Since graduating, Shai has been working on projects in China and New Zealand before returning to London this summer. Shai’s work is typified by a curiosity of industrial processes combined with a love of story telling. She explores the way that thoughtful detail design can make ordinary items and production methods into extra-ordinary objects. Shai is based in London, working on freelance design projects and running a small design practice, ‘Studio of Two’, with fellow RCA graduate, Andrew Haythornthwaite. Shai’s work has been selected to appear in many international exhibitions and covers a wide cross section of projects: furniture, product, art direction and event design, as well as design research and running design workshops with Andrew. www.shaiakram.co.uk
